Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in the month-end general ledger (GL) close process and reporting of market results.

  • Support the execution of month-end close steps in accordance with the month-end close (MEC) checklist and internal operating procedures.

  • Provide Record to Report (R2R) transaction processing support, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of daily tasks.

  • Resolve general accounting and reporting issues as they arise.

  • Execute internal controls in compliance with the organization’s financial control framework.

  • Review monthly balance sheet schedules and reconciliations; work with relevant stakeholders to resolve outstanding items.

  • Ensure adherence to finance hub policies and compliance with local legal and statutory requirements.

  • Respond to stakeholder queries promptly, professionally, and proactively.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., P2P, O2C, Statutory & Tax) to ensure a smooth and successful month-end close.

  • Support financial reporting activities for assigned legal entities.

  • Conduct first-level analysis of profit and loss statements and balance sheet accounts, including cost center and transaction posting checks.

  • Maintain a solid understanding of the principal activities of assigned legal entities to support accurate financial analysis.

  • Participate in internal and external compliance audits and assist in responding to audit queries.

  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks related to controllership and reporting as required.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Professional certification (CPA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA) is an advantage.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting.

  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Shared Service Centre or multinational environment, particularly in financial accounting or audit.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly preferred.

  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to communicate effectively across various levels of stakeholders.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of taking initiative to solve problems.

  • Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset and seeks process efficiencies.

  • High attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workload to meet deadlines effectively.
